Permatex® Disc Brake Quiet
Features and Benefits:
Stops brake squeal by dampening vibration at caliper/brake pad interface. Provides tighter fit and allows for easier disassembly. Protects against corrosion. Compatible with anti-lock brake systems. This product contains an elastomeric polymer for use with brake pads not having anti-squeal shims. Aerosol – Level 3*
DIRECTIONS:
Shake well. Apply to metal backs of new brake pads; or remove squeaking pads from caliper, clean with Permatex® Brake and Parts Cleaner and apply to pad backing.
DO NOT APPLY TO FRICTION SIDE OF PADS, caliper, rotors or other moving mechanisms. Allow to set for 10 minutes and reassemble. May install while tacky.

Suggested Applications: Automotive disc brakes, out board and inboard pads for disc braking systems, disc brake pads without anti-squeal shims.

Permatex® Electrical Contact & Parts Cleaner
Features and Benefits:
Suited for cleaning electrical and electronic devices, this fast evaporating, noncorrosive cleaner leaves no residue. It removes grease, dirt, oil, flux and other surface contaminants. Designed to be an alternative to CFC-113, 1,1,1-trichloroethane and perchloroethylene solvents.
DIRECTIONS:
- Read entire label before using this product.
- DO NOT apply to energised equipment or where there is a residual electrical potential from a component such as a capacitor.
- Hold can 6 8 inches from surface to be cleaned.
- Spray surfaces to be cleaned.
- Extension tube may be used for pinpoint application.
- For stubborn residues, repeat application.
- For difficult to reach areas, swabs or lint free cloths may be used.
- Allow to dry completely before re-energising system.

Permatex® Engine Degreaser
Features and Benefits:
New formula contains no petroleum distillates. Foaming action quickly dissolves and removes grease, oil and dirt from all types of equipment. Cleans iron, steel, aluminium, magnesium and copper. Not harmful to metal, rubber, plastic, or concrete. Rinses off easily with water. Level 3
DIRECTIONS:
- Shake well before using.
- Make sure engine is turned off and cool.
- Spray generously starting with the lower engine areas. Work towards the top of the engine. DO NOT spray directly onto alternator, distributor, electronic components and air intake systems. Care must be taken on all under hood wiring and electronic sensors.
- Immediately wipe off any overspray from external painted surfaces and plastic chrome with water dampened cloth.
- Allow Eliminator III Engine Degreaser to soak for 10 to 15 minutes. Heavy deposits of grease and grime may have to be brushed. DO NOT start engine after applying degreaser. Rinsing properly cleans engine and avoids potential fire hazards and odours.
- Rinse with a mild stream of water from the top of the engine down. Do not use power washers or heavy streams of water.
- PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND USE THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF WATER TO RINSE ENGINE. FOLLOW ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS FOR DISPOSAL OF WASTE WATER.
- After engine has been rinsed, allow to drain for a few minutes. Start engine and allow to idle for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Drive vehicle for a short period of time to completely dry engine or allow to dry overnight.

Permatex® Fast Break® Super Penetrant
Features and Benefits:
Heavy-duty penetrate for rusted and frozen assemblies. Works quickly to penetrate and loosen rust, tar, grease, dirt, carbon deposits and corrosion from metal parts. Frees frozen nuts, bolts and fittings in all types of assemblies. Level 3*
DIRECTIONS:
Shake well. Protect painted surfaces from overspray. Apply a light coating of FAST BREAK® to frozen joint or part. Tap the joint to set up vibration. Parts will separate. Stubborn cases may require repeated applications or a short soaking period.

DIRECTIONS:
Use on flanges, both sides of old or new gaskets, threaded and hose connections, cover plates and all semi permanent reassembly work. Clean surfaces thoroughly. Apply a thin, even film. Allow to air dry afew minutes until film becomes “tacky.” Then assemble and tighten into position.

Features and Benefits:
Fast-drying, hard-setting sealant designed for sealing rigid materials and flanges, or patching holes and joints where permanent assembly is desired. Temperature range -65°F to 400°F (-54°C to 204°C); resists common shop fluids and fuels.
DIRECTIONS:
- Clean surfaces thoroughly.
- Pierce top and apply a thin, evenfilm to both mating surfaces. Allow to air dry until it becomes “tacky.”
- Assembleand tighten into position.
- Wipe excess clean. If material cures in nozzle between applications, use a pin or paper clip to remove cured plug.

Permatex® Gasket Remover – Low VOC Formula
Features and Benefits:
This low VOC formulation combines powerful gasket remover strength with an innovative delivery system. Its fast-foaming action penetrates the most stubborn or baked-on gaskets in 15-20 minutes. The built-in brush-tip was designed for easy application and allows for scrubbing on intricate surfaces. This product is NOT recommended for use on silicone gaskets. Level 2
DIRECTIONS:
- Apply Gasket Remover by depressing pad to angle brush. Move brush in a circular motion ensuring all of the sealant is covered.
- Allow Gasket Remover to stand on the gasket sealant for at least (15) minutes. Removal time will vary depending on gasket sealant thickness.
- Wipe residue off with dry rag.
- Re-apply if necessary.
- Prep flange for new gasket by cleaning with Permatex® Brake & Parts Cleaner.
NOTE: Not for use on RTV silicone gaskets.

Permatex® High Tack™ Gasket Sealant
Features and Benefits:
Fast-drying all-purpose sealant dries to a highly tacky, non-brittle film. A reliable general adhesive remains tacky indefinitely can be applied in advance for convenience in assembly. Remains effective at temperatures of -65°F to 500°F (-54°C to 260°C). Sensor-safe. Resists gasoline, oil, antifreeze, axle lube, kerosene, propane and butane.
DIRECTIONS:
Apply a thin, even coat of High Tack™ to all surfaces. Cover all threads. Allow to set a few minutes before assembly. For convenient assembly, coat gaskets and bolts in advance. High Tack™ can be removed with lacquer thinner. Keep tightly closed.

Permatex® High Temperature Anaerobic Flange Sealant
Features and Benefits:
A high temperature sealant specially engineered for making or dressing gaskets in rigid assemblies. Able to withstand temperatures to 400°F (204°C), fills gaps up to 0.020” (primed) and permits clamping loads to be maintained for strong, leakproof assemblies.
DIRECTIONS:
TO MAKE A GASKET:
- Clean both flange surfaces. Remove paint, dirt, grease or old gasket completely.
- Spray Permatex® Surface Prep™ activator on one surface only. Allow to dry 1-2 minutes.
- Apply a continuous bead of sealant to the unprimed surface.
- Assemble mating surfaces with minimal lateral movement. Excess sealant can be wiped awaywith a cloth and shop solvent.
TO DRESS A GASKET:
- Clean both flange surfaces. Remove paint, dirt, grease or old gasket completely.
- Spray Permatex® Surface Prep™ activator to both flange surfaces. Allow to dry 1-2 minutes.
- Completely cover both sides of the precut gasket with sealant.
- Place coated gasket on flange, and assemble mating surfaces with minimal lateral movement.
Automobile:
Suggested Applications: Water pumps, thermostat housings, engine cases, timing covers, transmission pans, transmission case covers, and transaxle casings.
