Permatex® High-Temp Red RTV Silicone Gasket Maker

Gasketing

Features and Benefits:

OEM specified. Formulated for hi-temp applications, or heavy-duty use (such as towing, etc.). Replaces almost any cut gasket by making reliable “formed-in-place” gaskets that resist cracking, shrinking and migrating caused by thermal cycling. Coats pre-cut gaskets to increase reliability. Temperature range -65ºF to 650ºF (-54°C to 343°C) intermittent; resists auto and shop fluids.

DIRECTIONS:

For best results, clean and dry all surfaces with a residue-free solvent, such as Permatex^® Brake & Parts Cleaner.
Cut nozzle to desired bead size gaskets are best formed using a 1/16″ to 1/4″ (2 to 6 mm) bead.
Apply a continuous and even bead of silicone to one surface; surround all bolt holes. Assemble parts immediately. Finger tighten bolts until material begins to squeeze out around flange. Allow to dry for one hour then retighten 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
Silicone will skin over in one hour and fully cure in 24 hours under normal conditions. Allow more time for cold or very dry conditions.
Clean uncured silicone from hands, tools and clothing with Fast Orange^® Hand Cleaner.

Note: Not recommended for use on head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline.

Permatex® Liquid Electrical Tape

Speciality Adhesives

Features and Benefits:

Weatherproof protectant for wiring and electrical connections. Goes on as a liquid and dries to a vinyl polymer that resists dirt, dust, chemicals, moisture, ensuring that connections stay intact. Brush-top applicator allows coverage without gaps and enables access to tight spaces that roll tape and shrink tubing can’t get to.

NOTES:
For best results, avoid direct sunlight, high humidity and breezy conditions. Follow local electrical codes when doing electrical repair work.

DIRECTIONS:

Always disconnect power before applying.
Stir well before using.
Make sure surfaces are clean and dry.
Apply liquid tape to connection or repair area. Completely coat repair area for an air and water tight seal.
Allow 10 minutes minimum between coats. A minimum of two coats is recommended.
Allow 4 hours minimum dry time before use.
Always allow liquid tape to dry completely before restoring power.

Permatex® Liquid Metal Filler

Features and Benefits:

Easy-to-use filler can be drilled, filed, sanded and painted. Forms a long-lasting, metal-tough bond. Works on metal, wood, and concrete. Excellent adhesion to galvanised metal. Repairs cracks or porosity leaks in cast metal parts. Fills small holes, cracks, and perforations. Resists water, oil and gasoline.

DIRECTIONS:

Make sure the surface to be repaired is clean and free of oil and grease. For best results, roughen the surface slightly with sandpaper.
Pierce the seal in the head of the tube. Apply LIQUID METAL FILLER straight from the tube. If desired, use a wet putty knife or spatula to smooth out the repair.
LIQUID METAL FILLER will dry in 3 to 4 hours. For filling deep holes, apply LIQUID METAL FILLER in layers. Allow each layer to dry before adding the next.
Use Acetone or nail polish remover to clean up excess LIQUID METAL FILLER.

Permatex® Marine H2 Hold Epoxy bonds underwater applications without breaking and can be used on both under and above water repairs. This industrial strength waterproof epoxy is ideal for surfaces exposed to salt or freshwater such as portable water tanks, fuel tanks, drains, boats, and more!

Directions:

For best results: Roughen, remove any grease and oil, clean and dry surfaces to be joined or repaired.
Remove plastic mixing paddle from center of black plunger. Turn nozzle end up and pull plunger back slightly (1/8″). Allow air bubbles to rise to top. Snap off and save storage cap.
Push plunger evenly to dispense equal amounts of hardener and resin onto a discardable surface such as a piece of cardboard or the plastic container on the front of this package. Pull back plunger to stop flow.

MIX THOROUGHLY with paddle provided. Epoxy has a working time of 15 minutes.
Apply to surfaces to be joined or repaired. Epoxy will fixture in 1 hour and fully cure in 24 hours. Wipe nozzle clean. Replace cap for storage.
NOTE: Will not bond to polyethylene or polypropylene plastics.

Permatex® Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricant

Protects metal parts from seizing and galling at temperatures up to 2400°F (1316°C). It is recommended where copper contamination must be avoided, under conditions of extreme pressure and temperature, and with stainless steel, titanium and nickel alloys.

DIRECTIONS:

STIR WELL BEFORE USING.

Features and Benefits:

Specially formulated for superior fluid resistance, this polyester urethane based gasketing compound withstands extreme temperature changes without hardening. Its non-setting, non-hardening character remains tacky even with rapid changes in temperature, enabling repeated assembly and disassembly of parts. Suitable as either a gasket maker or dressing, PermaShield^™ seals surface imperfections between metal parts and is ideal in high performance applications. With an operating temperature range of -60° to 500°F (-50° to 260°C), this compound resists common engine fluids, including oil, gasoline, ethanol, water and anti-freeze and prevents contamination from moisture and dust.

DIRECTIONS:

Clean and dry surfaces.
Apply thin film or bead to both surfaces.
Allow ample drying time to completely evaporate the solvent.
Assemble and torque to manufacturers specifications. Seals instantly. May return equipment to service immediately. Replace cap after use. Store below 100°F (38°C).

Permatex® Plastic Welder™

Epoxy & Adhesives

Features and Benefits:

A structural adhesive designed for general purpose bonding of a wide variety of material such as hard and soft plastics to specified surfaces. Forms a tough, durable bond to most plastics, composites, ceramics, wood in any combination. Fast curing product with gelling of mixed adhesive in 5 6 minutes and fixturing in 9 10 minutes. NOTE: Will not bond most polyethylene or polypropylene plastics. Bonds hard and soft plastics to specified surfaces. Requires no primers, sets in five minutes at room temperature. Cream appearance. Gap filling to 0.125 inch. Water resistant and good chemical resistance. Temperature range -60°F to 250°F (-51°C to 121°C). Permanent strength up to 3500 PSI.

DIRECTIONS:
PROTECT: Work area must be protected from accidental spills.
CLEAN: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.
PREPARE: Roughen smooth surfaces (using abrasives or sandpaper)
OPEN PACKAGE: Remove syringe. Using a sharp blade, cut off tips of both nozzles.
DISPENSE: Depress plunger to dispense Part A and Part B. Mix thoroughly on a clean, discardable surface for 2 to 3 minutes until evenly coloured.
APPLICATION: Apply a small amount of mixture to both surfaces and assemble parts immediately (working time is approximately 5 min.). Remove any excess Plastic Weld immediately.
CURE TIME: Usable strength is reached in four hours at 72°F (22°C). Cooler temperature may require longer set time.
CLEAN-UP: Attach nozzle cap and store in moulded tray. NOTE: Adhesive will not bond most polyethyleneor polypropylene plastics.

DIRECTIONS:

Protect painted surfaces, C.V. boots and all parts made of plastic and rubber from overspray.
Shake well.
First spray the surfaces gently from a distance to wet down hazardous surface dust (which may still contain asbestos fibers and other harmful particles) to prevent them from becoming airborne.
Then they can be more safely flushed down and off the parts without being breathed.
Hold can upright and spray liberally on all parts to be cleaned.
Allow to air dry or wipe with soft cloth.
Repeat application if necessary.

Features and Benefits:

Chemically dissolves rust from all iron and steel surfaces. Brush or spray on, wash off rust with cloth. Replaces sanding and scraping.

DIRECTIONS:

Wear rubber gloves when using.
Scrape or wipe loose dirt and rust flakes from surface.
Brush on liberally and work into pitted areas.
Leave on 5-10 minutes. Wipe off painted surfaces immediately.
Wash or rinse off with fresh water.
Repeat applications for heavily rusted areas. Allow product to remain on surface longer if necessary.
Limit applications to five minutes for chrome or plated surfaces.

Lubricates and waterproofs all types of mechanical equipment. Stops friction and squeaks. Prevents locks, doors and windows from binding. High silicone formula does not attract dust or dirt. Protects and renews rubber mountings, bushings and weatherstripping. Prevents binding, sticking and deterioration. Non-gumming. Will not mar paint, rubber or plastic surfaces. Waterproofs. Level 1*

DIRECTIONS:

Shake well before using. Lightly spray surface to be treated. Wipe for protective coating. If used on moving mechanisms, work parts back and forth (Contact with some plastic surfaces may cause cloudiness.).

Automobile:

Suggested Applications: Lubricates door locks, trunk lids, brake cables, and rubber molding.

Motorcycle:

Suggested Applications: Left and right handgrips

Marine:

Suggested Applications: Lubricates hatch locks and rubber molding
